Dogs For Adoption
We focus on finding the right fit for our dogs and their future families. There is an adoption fee, which is displayed on each dog’s advert.
We offer a 2-week trial period to ensure the match works for both you and the dog—if it doesn’t, we’ll take them back.
We also have private adoptions available. These dogs may still be with their original owners or in foster care when our shelter is full. Reach out we are happy to help!
Meet our Dogs
At Byron Dog Rescue, our dogs are treated like family. We’re a no-kill shelter, and every dog stays with us until they find their forever home.
Unlike most shelters, our dogs live together as a social pack, not isolated in kennels, helping them stay confident and well-adjusted.
This rare approach in Australia makes their journey to adoption smoother and happier.
BUSTER
Breed: Cavalier King Charles X

Buster is a super friendly, relaxed boy who loves spending time with both people and other dogs. With his low to medium energy levels, he's just as happy enjoying a leisurely stroll as he is curling up on the couch for a cuddle. Buster is a house trained, easy companion who would thrive in a calm, peaceful home.
A few years ago, Buster experienced a back injury, but has recovered remarkably well. For this reason to help keep him comfortable and safe, he's looking for a home without young children or large dogs.
Buster isn't suited to living with cats, but if you're looking for a gentle, affectionate best friend and the perfect snuggle buddy, Buster could be the one for you.

GIGI

Gigi is a stunning girl searching for a calm, peaceful home with people who enjoy an active lifestyle. She's mastered all the basics of her training and is now ready to settle into life with her forever family. Whether it's heading out for a walk, chasing a ball, or simply relaxing by your side, Gigi is happiest spending time with her people.
Gigi gets along well with most dogs, particularly those of a similar size, but she's not a fan of cats. She's also looking for a home without children, as she prefers her personal space and doesn't enjoy being handled like a teddy bear.
In the right environment, Gigi is an incredibly loyal and devoted companion who will repay your kindness with endless love and companionship. She simply needs a calm, understanding home where she can truly thrive.
This is an assisted private rehoming, and Gigi is currently located in Yamba, NSW.
